Community Apartment Project

A type of common interest development in California where an undivided interest in the entire property is coupled with the exclusive right to occupy a specific apartment. This form of ownership is relatively rare compared to condominiums and planned developments. Community apartment projects are governed by the Davis-Stirling Act and have the same governance and disclosure requirements as other CIDs.
