CID

An abbreviation for Common Interest Development, the California legal classification for residential communities with shared ownership of common areas and mandatory association membership. CIDs are governed by the Davis-Stirling Act and include condominiums, planned developments, community apartment projects, and stock cooperatives. The term is used throughout California real estate law and regulatory filings.
