CLAD

Also known as: Common Interest Development Bureau

The California Department of Real Estate formerly managed Common Interest Development (CID) regulations through what was informally referred to as CLAD (Common Interest Development Bureau). This regulatory body oversees the sale of new common interest developments and reviews public reports and disclosures. Developers must comply with CLAD requirements before selling units in new CID projects. The bureau helps protect consumers in new development purchases.
