Reserve Study Requirements (California)

California Civil Code Section 5550 requires associations to conduct a reserve study at least every three years that includes a visual inspection of accessible common area components. The study must include a list of components, their remaining useful life, estimated replacement cost, and a funding plan. The association must distribute a summary of the reserve study to all members annually as part of the annual budget report.
